Public Awareness Campaigns

Effective health messages that are targeted appropriately are powerful tools for the prevention of smoking initiation, promoting and helping cessation, and changing or shaping social attitudes related to tobacco use. Health communication interventions can stimulate public support for tobacco control interventions and create a supportive climate for policy and programmatic community efforts.[1]
