Bridgewater Smoke Free Spaces Survey
This survey was commissioned by Smoke-Free Nova Scotia. This study is designed to assess the experiences residents of the Town of Bridgewater and the immediate surrounding area (Municipality of the District of Lunenburg) with the smoke free outdoor spaces bylaw enacted by the Town of Bridgewater on September 1, 2008.

Other Resources
Smoke-Free Nova Scotia collaborated with the Town of Bridgewater, the South Shore District Health Authority and Nova Scotia Health Promotion and Protection to develop appropriate signage for smoke-free outdoor spaces. The signage was tested in focus groups of people who smoke to ensure that it met the twin goals of a) clearly communicating where smoking is not permitted and b) ensuring that all people feel welcome when entering the smoke-free locations.
We are pleased to share this signage with jurisdictions interested in using it for their own smoke-free outdoor spaces. To obtain the signage, please contact us.
